Hi,
PilotEdit 9.1 / 64 bit on Win 7 SP1
I'm trying to connect to an SFTP-server but get an error message when browsing the remote directories in the Open FTP-File dialog.
A long message tells me client and server where unable to agree upon encryption and MAC algorithm.
I can establish a SFTP-connection via Cyberduck software. So there doesn't seem to be a problem with the server.
I'm a bit annoyed because the sftp functionality was the only reason why I purchased PilotEdit.
The error message tells me the clientIdentifier is SSH-2.0-PuTTY_Local:_May_11_2009_17:22:38
In my opinion this is a bit outdated.
initialDataFromSshServer is SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_6.6.1p1
Very interesting: The username shown in the error message is my local login name not the one on the sftp-server.
Best regards
