What is the difference between register with computer ID and user/company name?
If you choose register with computer ID:
1. You may apply for serial number for 10 computers for each license you purchased.
2. Lifetime free upgrade.
3. The serial number is generated from you first hard disk ID.
4. You need to apply for new serial number if you install PilotEdit to another physical machine or change the first hard disk.
5. The serial number for 10 computers may be applied at any time when you have new machines.

If you choose to register with user/company name:
1. A single user license covers one person using PilotEdit on any number of computers.
2. You may upgrade to a higher version for free within one year.

How long will it take to receive my serial number?
After you buy PilotEdit, you will be able to receive your serial numbers from support@pilotedit.com within 24 hours.
If you fail to receive your serial number in 24 hours, please contact support@pilotedit.com.

Is my serial number for computer ID reusable?
You may re-use your serial number for computer ID in the following conditions since the first hard disk ID will not be changed:
1. Re-install you windows OS.
2. Install multiple Windows systems on one machine.
3. Change machine name.

You can't re-use your serial number in the following conditions since the first hard disk ID may have been changed:
1. Install PilotEdit to another physical machine
2. Change the first hard disk

How can I get my computer ID?
You may get your computer ID through one of the two ways:
1. You will be able to see you computer ID when you start PilotEdit unregistered.
2. You may get you computer ID by selecting PilotEdit menu Configure, then View computer ID and serial number.
